Fornebubanen is a new metro line between Majorstuen and Fornebu, and one of the largest public transport projects in Norway. The project includes new tunnels, stations, technical buildings, and extensive adaptations to existing infrastructure both above and below ground. Marthinsen & Duvholt has been, and continues to be, involved in several sub‑projects along the alignment, delivering groundworks, blasting, water and wastewater systems, technical infrastructure, and urban and road‑interface adaptations.
Fornebubanen is a complex, urban and fully electric construction project with many parallel activities and tight schedules. The works are carried out in close proximity to existing buildings, busy roads, technical infrastructure and vulnerable road users. Challenging ground conditions, limited space for site facilities, and extensive coordination with adjacent contracts have placed high demands on planning, flexibility and collaboration.
We are happy to answer any questions or discuss the projects and experience we have gained over 25 years as a contractor.
