In recent years, Marthinsen & Duvholt has strengthened its position within the railway sector through a number of significant projects. We have built extensive experience and expertise in groundwork, tunnelling, and rehabilitation.
One of our major focus areas has been the expansion of the Vestfold Line. We have carried out preparatory work and groundwork on the Nykirke–Barkåker section as a subcontractor for SAPI NOR (UNB‑01). Our contribution also includes groundwork and finishing works in tunnels for NRC Group, as well as the rehabilitation of the Tangen Tunnel for Bane NOR during the summer shutdown in 2023.
Since 2023, we have also been involved in establishing new train parking facilities at Barkåker.
In the Greater Oslo region, we have been involved in multiple projects related to the construction of the Fornebubanen metro line, both directly for the Fornebubanen organisation and as a subcontractor to other contractors. Together with Skanska, we have established the excavation pit that will serve as the turning loop for the Fornebubanen line.
