Marthinsen & Duvholt has completed a wide range of tunnel projects, both as stand‑alone assignments and as integral components of larger road developments. Our teams consist of some of the industry’s most experienced and highly skilled professionals, ensuring exceptional quality and efficient project execution.
Our experience in tunnel operations includes finishing works on several railway tunnel projects for Skanska, including the Holmestrand Tunnel and Martineåsen on the UFP projects. These assignments provided us early on with valuable insight and expertise in delivering complex tunnel works.
Marthinsen & Duvholt also has substantial experience in tunnel rehabilitation. In 2023, we completed a demanding rehabilitation of the Tangen Tunnel within a very limited summer shutdown. Our ability to execute such projects under strict time constraints is a testament to our technical competence and operational efficiency.
In the joint venture on the E16 Bjørum–Skaret project, Marthinsen & Duvholt carried out all groundwork following the tunnel excavation. This work was executed with exceptional efficiency, thanks to our highly competent teams. We firmly believe we have some of the best professionals in the field, which positions us strongly to take on future challenges within tunnel construction and rehabilitation.
In the Bjørum–Skaret project, we also contributed to the construction of a pilot project involving a nitrogen filtration system designed to treat runoff from the large rock fill at Skaret.
